about
I'm a design engineer specializing in mechatronic, robotic, endoscopic, and medical device design. I have over 7 years industry experience as a design engineer in addition to 5 years of research experience while pursuing my PhD. My designs have received many national awards including a publication in Nature, a Da Vinci Award, the President’s Award from the American Society of Biomechanics, a feature exhibit in the London Museum of Science, research featured by BBC, Discovery Channel, Popular Science and many other scientific resources, and several local awards and grants.
I have four years of training in bioinstrumentation, five years specializing in biomechanics, and 8 years experience as a mechanical design engineer.
I am passionate about teaching the next generation of engineers. I teach Senior Design in Biomedical Engineering at UNC Chapel Hill and I mentor the Cybathlon team an NC State University which developed novel lower limb prosthesis.
